Why a barbarian merc bougth in hatred is better (better stats) than a barbarian bought in destruction?

The earlier you buy your merc, the better stats they'll have. I don't know why, it just is.

Go to a hatred game and check the stats then go to a destruction game.

Hatred should have better stats i.e. more STR.

Buying him at lvl 1 does not help.
