Median XL 2017 Speedrunners!

A challenge to all who enjoy speedrunning!

I've started playing Median XL for the first time with the 2017 patch, really enjoying this game and the 'reveal map' feature, add onto that the increased mobility and speedrunning is a dream come true. The early game of speedrunning is so much more enjoyable. With this I've started doing some runs, I invite people to share builds/ideas and post their runs.

This is my 2nd attempt at Amazon : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/149902550 It is a 1:47:56 run of hatred on bow amazon.

I actually lost first 8 mins of run upload, but run has many improvements to make so next one I'll make sure doesn't have any issues.

I think the 2 categories I'm going to focus on are:
Enter game - Hatred Baal
Enter game - Terror Baal

I don't think I'll attempt going to destruction baal because the nature of the game has level challenges and charms etc, it makes more sense to do hatred/terror only speedruns. I'm thinking for a terror speedrun I'll be doing Tran athula in Hatred to get the prism, but not sure if its worth time investment yet.

That challenge is strange, it is class universal and it looks like on a different balance patch.

So that's a speedrun from 2015. And we are going to beat it with the current patch? Why not set a record this patch specifically for balance reasons?

Sb's old speed run time is ... Old, yes. It's a new patch now, but he also didn't use map reveal in that video. Even with the changes to the act quests for the staff and flail, I think it'll balance out just fine.

Without spending the extra time on volrath or searching for the next areas without map reveal, it should be fine.

The challenge won't change unless people start trying it and find that the times aren't comparable at all.

Don't ever play with SB, he just rushes ahead so fast and kills everything like 2 maps in front of you. You just constantly walk in his wake without seeing him or any monsters, and get bored. :lol:

Last time me, SB, Marco, and a few other people played HC, Marco got a bit salty because there was nothing to kill. True story. XD
