I need help with my assassin and I'm a little lost. Most of the guides I've found for the assassin are Tantrum (which isn't working for me), Caster (which I don't want to do), or Shunpo.

I just want to use Claws and attack things like the classic Assassin from Diablo 2. Is that still viable for Destruction? I'm getting my ass handed to me in Terror with the full Witchhunter Attire set.

My skills include Batstrike, Ways, QoB, PB and blink.

I haven't found a guide for what I'm trying to do, and I'm far too ignorant of Median XL to make my own build up (Clearly lol).

Can someone please help me skill my character and give me some suggestions for gear/modifiers to look for, for this particular kind of build?

You havent found a guide for it cause clawsin is only ''good'' (if its good for something else than laz killing or some end game bosses) for farming.
Castersin is the most used one cause it's the best one for untwinked journeys. Tantrum is useless now and shunpo is only good for farming/farming levels @cows.

Claws are not like in d2 lod, in fact, no char is like in clod LOL.

As far as suggestions, I dont know, I wouldnt recommend going clawsin. Wait for someone who plays it (if there is) to recommend you something more than the standard build.

I don't mind if it's only good for farming honestly. My favorite thing to do is craft random items, MO the crap out of things, and farm TA and other fun areas. I love the grind of looking for fun items.

Dragonheart/segnitia armor, crafted shield with block and life after kill, crafted boots gloves with dex, black void.
For the rest, I have no idea, probably a SU claw with procs, a crafted one with proc or a RW. Same goes for helm.

Edit: I'll try to elaborate later.

Aogiri you're awesome, thank you!! I have to find this armor you speak of. I couldn't find out what "black void" is, I googled "Median XL black void", just got "the void" lol. Also I don't know what "Segnitia" is either. Dragonheart is a runeword made from KRA, I'll work on building that first. I'll begin crafting immediately as well. Can't wait to hear from you again!

Thanks Somnus, I really appreciate your help. I don't know how to identify "SU" VS "SS(S)U", other than my Offline tools puts them in separate rows lol. I don't have those items sadly. I crafted jewels and created a "Dragonheart" Runeword. I just created some quick items to start using my assassin, I'll look for more direction from this point to further build on my existing setup.

I'll work on finding more shrines in the mean time and getting more items to craft! (I think I enjoy crafting too much.... :bounce: ...)

Anyway, here's what I'm using thus far. Ripstar Ring, Empyrean band, Athulua's Oracle, and Deadfall Belt (TU6).

I didn't socket or MO yet, as I'm still pondering that. Also, my block is 36% right now.

UPDATE: Got a black void! What luck!

Your roll on the shield is VERY low. It can go much higher, so spend some time in terror Fauzt and craft some good double abandoned crafts. I think you can get 3x that on shield. Also, you can try Hail RW for weapon. If you have much points left, you can put them in broadside - in combat, cast broadside with whatever knife you have, then quickly change to claw. When using Hail, it causes SoR procfest

Thanks a ton masochista! I rerolled my shield and I obtained the runeword you mentioned. What should I be using for my primary claw attack? There is a few options available, or Oskills (whirlpool for example) I was thinking of.

For a dual wield claw sin to be viable it is mandatory that you always keep up blood batb and SR all the time, so you always need to alternate your attacks with these two skills and batstrike. You also need to reach max block. Iirc the set focuses on fire and poison damage pierce, so maxing wots and wotp is a must. To see if you have max block use blood bath once and check your defense in the stats screen. Batstriker also benefits a lot from life leech due to the 2 screens or more wdm nova from batstrike. But I would recomend the set tbh. Instead I would recomend using ohm claw rw on main hand and nih claw rw offhand, lily rw circlet, jitan armor, vith rw belt, dex crafted boots and gloves with fire and lightning pierce, a dreamcatcher amulet could help, but a rare with skills, banish on striking(or doom on kill) and lightning arena is also great. For the rings I recomend rares with 1skill, ctc supernova on kill and pierce (do not use empyreans cause you will have problems attacking), on switch you need two crafted claws with bloodlust oskills filled with nih runes. Rest of the gear should be filled with ber crafted jewels focusing on dex, life leech and fhr, fbr, ias. Iirc fhr and fbr should be 138% or so. Batstriker is very powerfull, even by just using crafts. Search the old forums for stoya's guide on batgirl assassin. There is also a video on youtube. Cheers!
