Why does Bend the shadows have a shorter cooldown than other wrap/teleport skills that share the same CD with that spell?

For very long time bts was short cooldown, because it required a minion, so casting additional minion, inconvenience/clunkiness of that was a downside, and short cd was an upside to compensate. Ever since that minion target requirement was removed in 2.1 (followed by reduced range and other tweaks), short cooldown remained, making it very good classic teleport skill, but reserved to necromancer.
It doesn't seem fair compared to other classes, but that seems to be the context of it.

Cannot jump walls and the distance is quite short. It's balanced imo.

Cool thanks! I would guess it should at least scale with character levels, so it's a bit more balanced like the Barbarian one. It is 3sec around level 60-70 of the char.

1- you can use short questions thread for Qs like these
2- the reason for current BTS state is simply = it aims to aid the fact that summons are really stupid

the future goal is to de-idiotize summons and change BTS, potentially even work/scale differently for summoner & totem.

Sounds good will use the short question thread next time. Don't summons just use the original AI that applies to all normal mobs?
