Old CD key

I have Diablo II installed on an old desktop, I want to play it on a newer laptop. I downloaded the installer and installed it. The game asks for a key, but my CD key is only 16 digits. I will no doubt have the same problem when I try to install LOD. So I need 2 new (26 digit?) cd keys. Do I have to buy the game again?

Iirc. You can get a new form CD key by turning in an old one. Probably following the link above.

Been trying to install this all day, I found that link and it worked for my Diablo 2, but not for my LOD, says it has allready been redeemed

Its not the resurrected version right? Please tell me where did you buy the game? Seems like MxL doesnt work with resurrected version.

So I found D2 and LoD on Battlenet. Right under resurrected version.

Can anyone confirm that this version works with MXL?

Yes, MXL (and any other multiplayer mod) works with legacy D2 only, not D2R.
