I really love this mod, loved D2 already and now that i found this mod - well. It's like back in the old days. So thank you, Laz and Marco and all the other modders for this D2-based awesomeness!
I managed to get my first character to destruction tonight. Wanted to clear out the good old den of evil, but experienced a ctd once near the end of the quest. (about 90% of the map was uncovered)
Some data was lost, but no big mess fortunately. Only lost about half a level of xp and some crappy rares.
Sooo I started the game again, found a hell-of-a-nice sacred unique for my sorc (my *first* sacred unique!!! - Sash of Shadows), I cheered, put on my freshly found sash, walked 15 more meters, clicked on a dead rouge and BAM - ctd again...
and of course: Despite endless prayers: The sash. Was gone.
The second ctd also happened after clearing about 95% of the map - i was just looking for the last few bad guys.
My questions now are these:
Is there any way to retrieve the item? (for sure as hell not and I'm doomed - but I don't wan't to leave the question unasked anyways...)
and
Why didn't it happen once in Hatred and Terror throughout the game, but on Destruction in Den of Evil twice in a row after nearly finishing the map? Is there any relation to the difficulty and/or map size??
(I think, but am not entirely sure, that both ctd's happened after clicking one of those dead rouges... bug, mayhaps?)
