excuse me, i can not open the file save, all save from 2.9 to 2.10.5 cant be opened, app crashes on loading.
Can this program restore a save file? Power went off during a game session and now can't find my lvl 134 owl in the game but when I open offline tools I see it but when I try to open it brings "0xaa55aa55, got 0x0" error

you can restore a backup if there is one (file with .bak extension)
quick check if your current character is restorable: open your d2s file with notepad and see if it appears completely blank (or in Np++ you see only NUL characters) - if so, then nothing can restore it.

Thanks for the reply though it's unfortunate it was completely blank so there goes my Wereowl and my entire shared stash (5 months of sp farming gone just like that)
On other hand now you have a good reason to make at least monthly backups.
