It is a bit hard to read though, due to being quite ...erm... well ... here is my attempt to make the first Walkthrough Spoiler less compact.

What does the abbrev "MS" stands for?

Normal Difficulty:

Start off with Forked Lightning and maxed meditation.
Keep pumping Forked lightning after Meditation is maxed as long as you are not having big mana issues.

Watch for
- low req item bases for your starter runewords and runes.
Tir - Short Staff (no req)
Tal - Cap (str 25)
El - Leather gloves (str 25)
Eth - Sash (str 25)

- rings/ammys/circlets/rare boots looking for
- high MS,
- resists,
- skills,
- pierce
- and other damage stats.

Act 1 is pretty smooth.

Act 2 gets a little tough on the damage front, but you can solve that with a merc with starter runewords if you think it’s worth the trouble.

Act 3 when you hit level 30, the second tier covens fill in a lot of holes.
Ice Elems do a lot of damage in Normal and Nightmare.

Nova Charge always does significant damage as long you’re close enough for the novas to spawn on things, and at these low levels,
the free damage from both is very nice for dealing with early mana issues.

A few mana regen MOs can go a long way to help with mana problems with Forked Lightning, but Tempest is so cheap,
you’ll basically never have problems while spamming it.

You will have issues with spamming Thunderstone for long periods at early to mid gearing levels especially if you have Mana Shield up.

Around 35-40 and whenever you get your second AC,
go gamble a tier 2 Kazarghand and
use an Akara respec to switch to 6 NC, 8 Ice Elem, 3 Meditation, 1 pointers and rest in Tempest.

Look for density and spam tempest - let your covens clean up stragglers and spam Thunderstone on Super Uniques and bosses.
Then fill in the other abilities as suggested in the skill build above as you continue on.

Act 4 and 5 will be a breeze.

Make your honorific leather glove when you kill Shenk and do some MOing.
30 all resists and 150 life regen from this slot alone will fix most of the rest of your remaining defense issues.

Get your Kazarghand to
t3 asap and
t4 when you have enough stat points in dex to equip it accounting for any lucky -req jewel finds
and not earlier than the minimum levels of 41 (t3) and 51 (t4).

6 point NC mitigates the energy loss and the dex overlaps with random rare circlet finds.

Should find or up/downlevel a Dol for Hadad before normal is done.

Then, do your level challenge and don’t forget to add the resistance scroll to the charm.

Make sure you do all quests in each difficulty except possibly Blood Raven
(if you don’t want a merc - they are an afterthought in this mod but can help with leveling)

Nightmare Difficulty:

keep spending money on MOs on your
- honorific,
- rainbow,
- Hadad/t3 Heartrend,
- t4 Ennead’s Bane,
- decent rare jewelry,
(you’ll hang onto those for a while.)

Keep picking up the runes and watch for the runes for Elverfolk.
If you’re lucky, you’ll find them in Nightmare.

Class challenge after Meph is pretty easy too.

Second Cham goes to Lysra to replace your belt.

Once you hit Lv.100 toward the end of Nightmare, click Entanglement and get FL to 2,
then MO all of your jewelry with as much mana regen as you can if you haven’t already.

Now, you get in a rhythm of teleporting once every few seconds to keep the cast speed buff up
(only need 14 more after level challenge charm to cap your cast frames) and things really start to speed up from here.

Sacreds will start dropping.
Keep your eyes open for a sacred Circlet to use for
Ornate>Eerie crafting a decent starter helm (262 dex requirement is close to your armor).
(Needs a rare base but you can Charsi any sacred Circlet you find.)

Also look for a sacred orb.
Use the non Ornate/Eerie shrines you have to roll it until you hit Blood Fury (up to +3) for your switch.
Big spell damage boost that gets bigger with more + all skills.
