I guess there is also a bunch of redundant images in the items folder.

Missing essences: FieryEssence0.png, EarthEssence0.png, MagicEssence0.png, VenomousEssence0.png.

And redundant icons: bow_elefury0.png, flammeen0.png, gauntletsuu0.png, grimmw0.png, k-Z0.png, labrryss0.png, mercbombb0.png, naginagi0.png, palhammer0.png, set_pewpew10.png, set_pewpew30.png, warpbbl0.png.

redundant icons might be possible because I simply extracted all available icons from the mpq.

turned out it's because of my dc6con version which appends 0 even for "animated" images that have only 1 frame, so the fix is basically to remove the trailing 0 from file names

Their size is wrong too, they looks weird and not centered.

Edit: Easy to fix if you have some modern image editor which I don't

So I guess this particular icons doesn't have standardized size in the game files, but d2 engine handles them well.

Trying to go to the Mediafire site I get a big red screen showing a warning that the site has been reported as unsafe to Microsoft.

Is there somewhere else to get it from? Also there doesn't seem to be a .zip version of it any more?

And - do we need to re-download the data files if we already have the previous version v0.4.3?

I have always been distributing Windows version in a 7z archive, not in a zip one

better get version 0.4.4 as it fixes removing mystic orbs in MXL 2017
