There is point of diminishing returns, you don't need 95% on all bosses, this is something you work on while upgrading gear, I wouldn't worry about it. There are other stats that will give you more effective damage than fixating on getting 95% chance to hit.

But in the other hand, going ancient blood instead of mountain king could be also ok, I'm not sure which one ends up better.

Hello,

I'm very new to MedianXL. Been following the guide and hit hell today in the new patch with this guide.

My question: Is there an in-between for gearing up to end game with this build after Tier 4 uniques and before shrine crafted items? Any sacred uniques/sets or runewords to look out for?

Yes, all crafts mean shrine crafts, there is no other way to craft an item in this game :)

Crafts are easiest to obtain, you can farm them, you can use sub-optimal shrines for weapon. Sets/sacred uniques are pure rng, in solo self found scenario even fairly common sets can take very long time to drop all needed pieces. This is part of the guide where i want ppl to think for themselves and at least try to understand which item is an upgrade. You are working with baseline that gets you easily to beat all at least 125 content.

This set will not work because it uses elemental base weapon (Ono), which deals no physical damage. And our passive heart of stone makes us deal no elemental damage, so you will literally deal zero damage with this set.

Also in case anyone wonders, Shockwave is old version of earthquake, directional aoe not a nova, with old damage wdm that hits 1x.

I'm not sure if you will deal damage via stormblast proc because heart of stone. Possibly, it may only make your base damage pure phys, but elemental procs still work, unsure about it. Otherwise yes, runeword is very solid, that 20% cooldown reduction I think was more suited towards older version, in beta for long time earthquake used to have cooldown (1s along with sor), so that would affect it. Now it will mostly affect SOR, so slight dps increase here, cooldown goes from 2s to 1.6s. It should also affect leap and thunderslam which is nice touch. This item is definitely competitive, I didn't include it because of price, enchanted ber is not easy to farm.

No, we don't deal cold damage, we don't deal any elemental damage.
You want to use all shrines just to hit good roll. If you are in situation where you have abundance of shrines and can chose, then I'd probably go for intimidating and get deadly strike + deadly stike bless. Pure phys damage build means deadly strike literally doubles the damage. So 10% cumulative deadly strike = 10% more total damage after everything.

I've got a question, is there any actual benefit of using Wolf Stance instead of Lion Stance, other than attack speed? Maybe Lion Stance will be a better choice, if attack speed is increased through items?

Movement speed and crushing blow as well, also we are getting 400% enhanced weapon damage, that is more than from maxed lion stance
And it comes without physical reduction penalty.
In my opinion in this scenario wolf stance is better, but feel free to experiment with lion stance.
