1h Melee Necro (Dagger & Dex)

Hey guys, where can I find the breakpoints for this "dagger & dex build"

I found an eth spirit edge with 35% ED with my 2h melee necro... would I get more dmg from respeccing to dagger with the xis rw on the eth spirit edge? I'm currently sitting at 14-27k parasite dmg. haven't hit max fpa with

It can be worth switching to a dagger/shield combo. Remember you get a shield as well.

yes, the extra def and block is what's tempting me to switch, but I don't want to go through all that trouble if I'll see a significant drop in dmg

in a spirit edge sacred (241% ed). is heart of fire better? have only one reset stats left, so don't wanna waste it if rw is better.

It's an appealing option, but you'll need to stack fire pierce to make it good. And max Dragonfire oil while you're at it. The problem is that you're almost entirely building around spell procs now, of which as a melee Necro you really have no good way to scale.

If you're on multiplayer just trade for some more Bella's, or if single player use the offline tools respec.

14% chance on a melee proc and 1% on striking is abysmal to build around on a melee necro, and the weapon doesn't even have flat fire dmg. also no innate way of getting fire pierce nor fire spell dmg so you'd have to gear for those. doesn't make much sense if you ask me.

the void is technically not an uber you would need an eth 1h weapon anyway. gluttony can be killed but requires a little strategy to defeat him. you need decent damage but more importantly try constantly moving around and attacking while you move around. he sometimes will not regen and will be enough to burst him.

if you still think you don't have enough dps after trying that then try making eth Shark Xis but Defiler should be enough looking at your expensive gear setup. Even 2h scythe high damage if you were STR setup with would suffice.

also, your shield doesn't have to be crafted. Hellspeak TU is incredibly good and rolls up to 40% dex on its own but no %increase block. 1h necromancer doesn't really need max block because you'll have over 30 block and 600k+ armor anyway. the combination of the two provides sufficient survivability which is why x2 giants knuckles is better than stacking block. Uldyssian is nice to have block on but not really a concern even in labyrinth.
