Nice guide as you always do. :D

Since i played and loved deathgaze barbs i built a a Thundra walker Set barb, using both runemaster and nephalem for ele damage. And go trough all content ezly.
On sigma this is no longer possible due to set changes.

Was thinking,...would it be viable to use:

Wolfsangel
-> to get the "pseudo runemaster" skill
And go for nephalem spirit on a strengh build (after getting all charms etc) ?

or you think defense will drop like crazy to do some content?
Will the giant ele dmg boost compensate the lost of the %def per rune?

Hey Aerial, I'm loving the guide and loving the build (Following the skill/stat plan to the letter). I'm playing single player and I've cleared all of the ubers through the 120 ones (Including Baal) plus Vizjun and Toraja. Toraja was easy but a pain to clear stuff and Vizjun was faceroll to the max. I'm now working on the other 125 ones and I am having some trouble.

I saw you used Ancient's Hand and Balefire for the fire and magic Kabraxis stones respectively. What items can I get these two abilities from? I think I might have seen them on Amulets and Barb axes but not sure. Also, what can you roll charged strike on for Astrogha?

A question about gear; What do you think about the Barb 2H melee set? I'm currently using it (complete set) and it seems great. However, I do see people crafting their axes and it seems like the way to eventually go but the set is just so nice for all the damage and defensive bonuses PLUS you can still use the T4 unique gloves, as the set doesn't use the glove slot. Also, do skill signets still drop in jungles? I haven't seen any.

I've only tried the 125 ubers once so I guess I shouldn't be too concerned. I guess I just got overconfident from doing Toraja and Vizjun so easily I thought the others would be the same.

For gear, I'm currently using:
Full 2H Melee Barb Set (Gathering of the Tribes)
+4 skills doom rare amulet
assur's bane (for the 1 to skills and max life/mana)
Bloodbond (for burning veil)
T4 Unique Gloves (obviously)
MOTW axe on switch

My basic stats are:
17.4K Life
1.3K Str, 2.4K Vit
1.1m def (with bear stance)
50% DR (with bear stance)
Capped res (they're all between 77 and 80%)
200% fhr and 280% ias breakpoints reached
9,000ish death gaze damage (with MOTW, Burning Veil, and Bloodlust all active)

All 400 stat signets used

Any tips or advice to tackle the other 125 ubers? I'm sure there are some sort of gear/play style changes to be made. Thanks so much again for the great and succinct guide and the helpful videos. I'm a huge fan!

PS: How do you deal with having to use stance on rmb and a melee attack on lmb??? I feel like I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome hard...I miss my Trap Rat in MXL 2017 in that regard...so much easier on my hand/arm, haha.

Guys i'm trying to get this build going, but I can't get enough strength to gear by adding 300 to the base. What items are you using to boost your strength?

I'm also having a hard time getting max resist, even with resist runes on my gloves and helm (my boots are nih and chest is kra and belt is vith). Where else can i get resist from?

Ok lot of posts to reply to:

1. A1 merc
A1 mercs are nice but they are pain to keep alive on a non-summoner build, that's why I opted for not using one. I have no doubts they are good in earlier acts, all mercs are quite op to be honest. Also A1 feels lot better if you can specifically build around them, give them nephalem spirit for example. But I doubt you can make a1 merc just run with you in duncraig, and not die (a5 can easily do that).

2. Wolfsangel runewords (shaad axe)
It is good runeword you get about as high damage as good craft (250 dmg added but runeword can get over 200% ewd that makes up for extra damage).
Why is it not included: shaad is rarest toraja rune, expensive and rare. If you wanted to replace runemaster with it, it can't match, runemaster gives you up to 20% defense per rune, this gives 4. And on top of that you lose 5 runes from fact it is RW axe, so 1 rune in weapon instead of 6. In other words if you did that your defense would drop significantly. Neph spirit as well, not that good if you don't stack bunch of pierce all gear, which is typically rare su, xis runewords and such. None are cheap options.
I was thinking, just putting that axe on runemaster barb would probably result in roughly same defense because of 5 runes loss. Wouldn't be bad for aoe clear since that eartquake proc.

3. AH and Baelfire oskills & 2h barb set
Oskills you can see in video, I'm showing there are crafted helms with them. I also list them in 1st post in misc items section. You don't even need to craft it, you could keep creating blue items, if failed, renewal them to white, and repeat. But crafting is just faster.
As for barb set. It isn't bad, especially coming from cheap gear we are using in this guide. But reason is the same as in previous point, full set it hard to find, thats lot of rng. This set isn't that great overall, woulnd't be on list of "gg gear", but yes it is better than TU.
For tips on 125 ubers, you have video how I beat them with worse gear than 2h set, so its something to compare to.
For the RMB stance, there is that little checkbox in d2stats that "Continue attacking when monster dies under cursor" that helps a bit. But otherwise you just have to deal with the inconvenience.

4. Upgraded AHK script
Nice, I know you can add bunch of tweaks like that, didn't find need, trying keep things simple. Note you can use similar trick to cast screaming eagle throwing skill, while scripts switches off bear stance. It is useful in laz fight.

5. Strength requirement
Was mentioned many times. Runes (ko = 5% str), MO = +5 str per mo for armors, so +25 str per item). Charms (25 stats akarat, creature of flame, % stats tal rasha and so on). You can just stay on t3 labrys until you get there.
Resists: mo 3% all res per armor, 7% per specific res for rings/amulet (can have 35% all res for each ring and amulet). Runes for 20 specific res each.
You don't need to be using these runewords that early on, if it helps you keep using uniques until you get more charms. There is bunch of charms that also add all resists.

Why would you think that? Yeah its gonna have good defense because 10k+ armor with 6 runes, but otherwise not really.
Kra gives you lot of speed and 500 life, jewels are also premium compared to runes. Thats the hidden bonus of kra rw, you get defense of 6 runes in high defense chest with runemaster, but at the same time you can use 5 jewels while not sacrificng on defense.
This eternal chest is pretty much only for disco inferno oskill, which I don't think we can use, it costs crapload of mana, you need build around it to use this skill.

Thats with merc bloodlust from quarak's will. Otherwise no special gear, crafted axe, TU, and nih boots.
This can roll through fauztinville at preddy damn decent speed for how shit this gear is.

So far got: toraja, kabraxis stones, bremmtown, belial (surprisingly not very hard), vizjun, astrogha.
With astrogha I used random rare amulet with charged strike oskill - way better than any skills we have, makes this significantly faster.


So are you trying to tell me that blessing items isn't worth anything anymore? I'm not sure what you're saying here.


How do you have that much %dmg for your elements? (bottom right)

Probably bloodlust/motw, but they don't do anything for this build, its weapon damage build, spell damage doesn't affect your damage.
