More energy will boost your damage since blood thorns is a fire spell Melee attack. Energy boosts spell damage to an extent, especially late game with energy factor stats.

Vitality can make you Tanky as prime said. Perhaps consider 50/50


Oh ok, I'll give the All Vit a try first, worst case , I can just reroll my stats. Thanks!

Would I be able to utilize this guide still if I were to switch the main-skill to Lemures(obviously little tweaks here and there considering this is based around fire)? I was told many times that it has ND and then told many times more that it had ND removed, so I don't know what to think. I find blood thorns to be incredibly boring and I know I could easily just test all of this without having to ask, but I wanted to know whether or not I'm wasting my time?

I seem to have told you incorrectly the first time. Lemures has, in fact, had ND removed.

Patch notes: LEMURES: no longer have next delay

My apologies. It should work fairly well if you make gear around it.

I assume Malthaels set will still be very good in this patch. Since you can't orb -enemy resist anymore and it gives -100 fire/light/cold/poison pierce :)

Total Character Defense Plus 3%
+100 Defense
+10 Required Level
to orb -enemy resist, and Malthael's set was nerfed. It gives only -40 pierce.

Malthael is still a solid choice, crafts will be even better ofc, but Malthael set is enough to keep you going. If youre poor on craft RNG but have full Malthael, youre not in a bad spot.
