There were no major changes to Sorc melee skills in the last 2 patches, so the build itself is still the same in 1.3. Just make sure you read the Changelogs for 1.2 and 1.3 to stay up-to-date on the quest mechanics that have changed.

Additionally, if you have questions about Melee Sorcs in general, feel free to post here, even if they don't relate to this build. I want this thread to also serve as an open discussion on Melee Sorcs.

Thanks for reply. Is there a chance to farm Duncraig with a Melee Sorc. i tryd it ,if i remember right, that was pain in the Ass. The Barrels kills me instanly :D ....

Yes. Both Mid-Game setups allow you to farm Dunc, but it's easier with the Set. Having at least 300 SoL eaten also helps a lot.

With barrels, you generally want to keep pushing forward. Don't retreat. But accept that sometimes, death is inevitable, especially when teleporting across gaps.

Fwiw, here's a vid I recorded a few patches ago just to use as an example. My char was 131 and had all 400 SoL eaten, so it's not an accurate measure. But I had the Set+Sacred Honorifics equipped and was using only the Charms you'd likely have at that stage.

Spiral Dance has 2 major drawbacks: it's a delayed attack and its AoE is small, which is likely where the "meh" comes from. But if you like it, use it.

Umbaru's Jinx was more for the HR+Phys Res. Otherwise, I'd go for Haareis b/c LL.

From my recent leveling experience to 130+ spiral dance provides significantly better clearspeed in K3K, TA, Duncraig and even Fauzt than any sorc skill. You just make 2-3 hits into pack, then run a bit, then hit next pack etc. Delayed mechanic actually good here, because it gives also delayed (exactly after you lose hp running into a pack) and very strong leech. You can facetank basically any amount of trash mobs with spiral dance and just a set. But bladestorm still better in lab/singletarget situation.
