Do you have (or someone reading) a good item filter for this build, with the ingame tool or d2stats?

Updated and added an in game loot filter setup. Thanks for the feedback.

Its kind of strict after level 100. Its just what I personally use.

Cleaned up some modifiers on it.

Whats your current gear look like? By the end of normal you should have wolf stance maxed, and if you ran Nihlathak to upgrade your gear you shouldn't be having any issues. If its not a damage issue, use a Life Leech mystic orbs on the weapon. Those rats do alot of burst damage. By nightmare your defenses really haven't taken off.

Heres my stats on a guy im currently leveling. This is max wolf stance, 1 honorific for resists, a tier 3 werecat filled with Els for stats, 1 ripstar (got lucky) and using a tier 4 Flying Anvil hammer (with Elds) (just trying another variantion). I ran through act 1 nightmare without any issues.

As you get used to the play style, it gets easier. For one, don't just hold right click. Shift click and keep moving. Treat it like you are placing mines down, and the enemies are running into them as you keep moving. This build benefits greatly from shift click since we don't rely on Life on Melee attack to sustain.

I'm playing this build and steamrolling pretty much everything, but I got a question.
Is maxxed Immortal really important? My barb seemingly got much sturdier when I respecced points from Immortal to Runemaster. When exactly ~30% avoid while not moving is going to make a difference?

It makes a difference when playing whirlwinder or summoner, maybe thrower, not melee that moves a lot. Don't believe everything that guide says (makers are not all-knowing gods), go with your gut.

Shortly: there are much better investments for this build than Immortal.

You're not moving every time you attack. As you get farther into the game, that's pretty often. When you get to areas such as Viz, or Fautz there are alot of ranged attacks coming at you.

Think of them as layers. Order of checking is: 1st Defense, 2nd Block, 3rd Avoid. So as you get farther and monsters start hitting more frequently (Labs, Scos, Fautz, Viz) you layer the defense. Its 30% Less damage for 15 points when you are attacking versus other attacks.

Ultimately its up to you though. Its just a guide. If you feel better running max Runemaster first, go for it. If you don't feel the 30% avoid is worth it, throw the points into Ancients or Wolven guide.

You made a nice guide and I respect it, I just don't see Immortal as important in this build, there are Ancient Blood, Wolven Guide or any masteries to skill up.

And most of the bad bosses teleport so you have to move.

Vizjun and Fauztinville are a cakewalk even with 1 point into Immortal, I barely notice health dropping at all. We'll see if things change in real ubers.

My point as well. Median is one diabloid where you cannot just facetank bosses, no matter how strong you are. So against the most dangerous things, the ones that are the most likely to get our barb killed, Immortal is practically useless.
