New and need help

hello so i wanted to download and play the mod but when I start my game it says Unhandled Exception: Access_violatino (c00000005). I have tried to reinstall from nothing. also I have fallowed all the steps in the instructions on how to join any ideas?

What D2 patch are you playing?

So i can tell you there is a problem with the files from the down grade to 1.13c. the other 2 work when i put the patch i can start the game just not connect due to version but as soon as i down grade i get the error

1. reinstall d2
1a. Download patch 1.13c and install it (google will help you)
2. install D2SE -> http://d2se.org/d2se/D2SE_V2.2.0.exe (in your D2 folder)
3. download newest median patch from here -> http://www.moddb.com/mods/median-xl-ult ... mative-xvi
4. put median folder into MODS folder inside D2SE
5. download registry key from https://tsw.median-xl.com/join and run it
6. run vidtest and set your graphics
7. run median with d2se.exe
8. profit ?

It's because your computer has never had a version prior to 1.14 installed, so you lack certain registry entries required for old versions to run.

Two options, for now until we release our launcher, afaik: 1) Install & setup glide 2) Obtain an older version of diablo

Oh i forgot. don't connect to battlenet after installation because it will automatically download 1.14 and you wont be able to play.

does anyone know where a good source to obtain an older version of d2 is
