@Kratos - Ice elementals are pretty important. TA as an example is very relevant. With the elementals, I have 26% DR and 7% chance of amazons hitting me. Without it, I have 11% DR and 11% chance to be hit. What this means is that I take a whopping 89% more damage when I don't have my elementals out. In dest TA gameplay, I have never died when I have them out, but I have died multiple times when I walk into big packs without them. So they are very important. Fortunately, in TA at least they don't die much because my blade spirits take most of the shots. I don't try to keep all 15 ice elementals alive - with so many of them there's more of them to get hit and you would have to resummon every second - I just keep 1-2 alive, and they usually stay alive for a minute or two.

Then I looked at the item in question, its defense value, and multiplied that by (%ED of the armor+115%)/(%ED of the armor+100%) and then subtract the defense of the item - that number represents how good a %ED MO is on that item.

For example, using my current armor, it has 7011 defense, 185 ED and my character has 203910 defense and 410 TCD. First, the TCD MO:

203910/(410+100)*100*0.04 ~= 1600

Then, the ED MO:

7011*(185+115)/(185+100)-7011 = 369

1600 > 369 ... the TCD MO is about 5x as good in this case.

Engishier version of the maths - Basically my character has 40,000 defense (about a third of which is coming from snow queen) before various things multiply it, and 4% of that is more than 15% more ED on an item would be.

I'm sure that maths are more nuanced than I make them out to be (%ED on superior items, ethereal items, lucky bonus and ice elemental aura may all cause some sort of problem), but I feel comfortable saying that despite those errors I can generalize that TCD is the way to go, while it is possible that ED might be better those would be corner cases/exceptions.

Can you show me your gear? With 1 end-game gear SU Tiara and 3 RW core gear I can't even survive in the entrance of TA (dest)

So they won't die off in droves as other minions often do? Excellent, thanks! One last question, how much should I prioritize minion health? I've got some sacred gear to craft, should I do a dex and vit craft, or try to set aside one/two pieces for magical so I can get minion buffs?

@Aslaii - Here is an imgur album of my gear - http://imgur.com/a/iMKvU . I made some mistakes with my mystic orbs, it has been a learning process for me. I'm not sure if my chest armor is better than the recommended runeword armor or not (best armor I found to make the runeword in was some sacred lamellar). I found the Nebelring early on and it seemed like a big defensive boost.

@Kratos - Well, the ice elementals DO die really easy, but in TA they tend to survive by virtue of not getting hit - When I'm barelling down a narrow corridor, I'm eating most of the arrows, the ones that don't hit me usually hit the sword elementals. The ice eles only usually get hit in the more open areas when enemies shooting from the side get them. I'm not sure how much you should prioritize minion health, right now I'm getting it from my Nebelring ring and my Marchois's hatred belt and those seem like they give me enough.

In other news, I did the Triune uberquest, and my advice for anyone attempting it would be: don't :shock: - doesn't take great gear, but is very annoying and the reward is underwhelming.

ive been following your build and everything has been great im in a1 destruction now my problem is ive been trying to do the xar rw for my weap and i spent at least 900 renewal and i can seem to get undistructible is there something im not doing right or another way i can get it ???

I don't think you can roll a superior base item as indestructible. According to the patch notes, it only spawns on Magic, Rare, or Crafted items.

Use an Indestructible jewel--either by crafting one, finding one, or using Renewal Oils on a Magic one.

IMO, no. No need for Burning Veil anymore. And it won't proc enough to make a difference. Good Rares are better.

BTW, gz on the Rare Warp Blade! Better get to crafting. :D

Yes, it will be worse in a non-Sacred base. Part of it is the loss of CB, but a bigger part is all that MO space on the TU for damage mods. Run T-Cows for a Sacred Warp Blade base, then use Charsi's Imbue reward to make it Rare.
