Pan/Crop shots thread

OK so when i was recently making new thumbnails for videos i decided to upload other, also cool zoom-in shots of median action. As sometimes, complete wreckfest is worth keeping closer look.

Here's my problem: whenever I open up the pan/crop window to do a simple zoom or crop of any of my video files, rather than cropping it wants to stretch or compress the file so none of the image is lost. Instead it squeezes it or squashes it.Changed it back to Best, restarted Vegas, still the same problem. And now, on top of that, Event FX won't work at all. Tried Black and White, Add Noise, Colour Correction, nothing in the preview window changes.
