I experimented a lot with elemental caster setups for assassins the last two seasons.
I want to share the one that I enjoyed the most.
One of the reworked Oskills from 2.2 is Phoenix Wave.
The unique scaling and the additional gimmick of it can be summarized in one screenshot of the skill description.

, the Assassin is an excellent class choice for this skill regardless [as soon as you get the relic]:Bartuc's Curse

- Way of the phoenix is a fire exclusive sd + pierce passive
- Pinnacle gives good all skill Bonus and a huge amount of Spell Focus (This way you can focus on high fire sd gear)
- in endgame you can have huge sustain with 100 cognition and high PR with Shadow Refuge now being a buff
- you can dual wield crafted Wristblades that can roll with big affixes for that particular build.

Here is a snapshot of my gear and skillplan.
I use this build to farm scos and do some non lab bossing.
It excells against RW3 and Inarius and with Banish you can also kill Soul of Pride very quick on the way.
