Duncraig getting one shot at level 8??

So I just picked up Median XL. Chose paladin and started playing. Cleaned the Den of Evil with some difficulty. That boss at the end was a doozy with his skeleton army. Anyways I start to make my way to blood raven. Come across the Cave in the cold plains while looking for the burial grounds. Clean out the Cave easy enough and find a way down to the next floor. I click it without reading and now I'm no longer in the Cave at all. Instead I'm looking at a large underground complex called Duncraig.

Alright...whatever. I run up to the first mob. Bam. I got one shot. Uh...wtf? So I take a 2nd venture into this place in an attempt to recover my body & gold then get the hell out. Bam this time I'm greeted right at the entrance and can't even take a step before I get one shot for the 2nd time now.

Just what in the hell is going on. Why are the mobs in this area so OP compared to the ones just one floor up!?

It's an end game area that you may come back to later. Generally, if the area's name is in red or yellow, you shouldn't go in. This is all in the documentation at the top left of this site under Games > Documentation.

Thanks for the help but I'd like to point out that this information is actually not in the docs; at least not anymore. I even searched through them just now to double check.

No where it is mentioned the color of an area's name indicates the difficulty of the area. Or what areas are actually end-game areas. Duncraig is only mentioned as an area in Act I with no indicator to the the expected difficulty.

I'll certainly avoid red named areas in the future.

Oh well dammit. I was looking at the patch notes thinking that was all there was to the docs....didn't notice that navibar before. Well now I feel like a dumbass.

Better sooner than later. Be aware of the level challenges. They aren't easy for newer players but it's better than rerunning the game to get great charms for your mid game. Might be able to find people to help you if you do overlevel but I find it worse than rerunning the game as it requires cooperation between two people.
