Shade wrote:OMG I just came across Landmass in ActIV Terror.

There were 3 of them and they just rained endless Shower of Rocks for minutes on end. Wiped nearly all my stuff in no time, it was only by holding down the Flayer respawn button behind them that I could get their life down very slowly, adding in a few totem spawns just outside the SoR when I could.

This is very different to the "you'll probably never notice them" in the guide!! What gives?

Landmass are just hard to spot right away since they use the same Sprite as Rampagors. Maybe I mistyped? You usually won't notice the Glowing Blobs. I'll check these things out when I get home soon

The bit I was reading was this:

L H wrote:Act 3: Glowing Blob - Travincal/Durance of Hate - Magic Immune, also fairly tanky, uses Pounce. They really pose no threat and often they suicide themselves because they will pounce onto your totems, which is instant death for them.
Act 4: Landmass - City of the Damned/River of Flame - Cold Immune, tankiest of the five veterans, uses Earthquake which can ruin you pretty quickly due to not having defense to survive incoming physical damage without minions absorbing attacks for you. They should die quickly from Fireheart Totems without you even seeing them usually, partially because they use the same appearance as a Rampagor :D

It suggests that the Landmass are easy to kill in saying "They should die quickly from Fireheart Totems". It took about 5 minutes! Also they seem to use SoR not sure if they also use Earthquake. Maybe the latest patch has changed them, dunno, I didn't see anything about that but who knows.
And yes they do look like Rampagors - I had plenty of time to have a good look at them!

BTW this is not a criticism in any way, I'm just trying to understand and see if there's some way to beat these quicker. It says they are immune to cold, and it seems they must also have a very high fire resistance. My merc dies very fast so if yours is what's killing them (with lightning) maybe that's the difference?

I just seem to not have adjusted the text for the current patch. Recent patches, they died within one or two fire shots. You'll have to distract with summons and use funeral pyre spam. I remember now that they were also a pain in the ass for me.

And they use both earthquake and shower of rocks btw.

Im in the low 100s, and I just reached destruction. Still in maxed out early game gear. Whats the best way to go about making money besides hoping for amulet/ring drops? Thanks in advance.

You can socket some higher level runes in throwing weapons. I had an On Rune in a throwing knife the other day sell for ~200k. Had a Vex Rune one time sell about 60k. So that "rune in throwing weapon" thing still works, just not nearly as much gold as it used to be.

You can also run Hatred Island of the Sunless Sea with El RW Helm for more gold find. Should get about 100-200k per run.

I keep pickung up random sacred items and sell those. some of them also sell for 200k. although i still don't know what exactly sets the price for an item.

Hey LH!
I've crafted +19 apocalypse oskill boots. Do you think apocalypse could have more Potential than Funeral Pyre? I've tested them and it seems Apocalypse may have better area control for weaker mobs (but is that even necesarry for this build? I think no..) and Funeral Pyre works better for stronger bosses.
What do you think?

I've never bothered with it much. If it fits your play style, go for it. I've always just relied on the fire totems for area clearing and Boneyard. Funeral pyre can be just as great for area coverage too. Just spam and aim your mouse all over. The five second duration on the skill basically allows you to ignite the entire screen.

When will the "End-Game" Gear, Stat, Skill come?
I play this Build since yesterday and got the last charm listet today :D. This build is so god damn awesome!

The only thing I changed is the Helm, I got the "The Prophet's Veil" with Fire Mo's and the Armor Crafted.
(I'm a newb btw)

PS: And what merc are we using here?
