i just want sin to have a bit of a health pool or something. Whenever i play melee sin, once i reach hell and life leech drops to practically negative, I can't keep myself alive with the pace of incoming damage. You seem to need really high dex and abandoned shrines (which I never seem to get enough of to craft the pieces i need) to obtain the max block needed to survive.

sure you have prismatic cloak, shadow refuge, and perfect balance . . . . but no health pool to use them. without max block you're sitting at what, 30-40% block chance. around 50ish for perfect balane avoid, and then prismatic. so if we go by 50% avoid. and 35% block, you get roughly 32.5% chance of being hit by melee and 50% by magic. That is then reduced further by prismatic cutting maybe 200ish dmg off a hit at that lvl

Now when your in a place where it's a high amount of projectiles, and they don't do a ton per hit? you're fine, prismatic got ya. But once that target has any amount of dmg? say an early uber like jitan, those towers have enough dmg to make prismatic nearly useless, and a 32.5% chance of being hit when he summons so many so quickly? or the big mobs in that same area also hit relatively hard, sure you'll block most of em, but once that one lands there goes 1/2 your hp. Without chugging potions permanently, you don't have the sustain with leech nerfed into oblivion, and no health pool to make pots even do much.

Just feels like that particular build is so hyper squishy without max block and well crafted gear to kill so fast you don't take dmg + bloodbath healing that it's extremely rough. . . and vampiric icon is something I still haven't been able to use effectively.

I remember dying more times than i care to count on cows, and sunless sea on sin even if i crafted a judge claw and built physical resist armor/mr in tandem with other stuff. I had to just let my merc (in much weaker gear) solo the place for me or i'd keel over in 2 seconds to a swarm of hits that do enough to negate prismatic, and nothing else to manage it . . . . When you do kill fast enough to survive with bloodbath, you just need to recast it every 5-10 seconds to maintain it.

Hey the build is squishy until you get near max block. You should Kite monsters. Even killing jitan takes some time and maybe some deaths to pull trough. as Assassin you cannot facetank everything. Also put some points to blink to get away faster as needed. You need to also eat some signets to be able to get max block faster.

if you want to build melee on other hand you have many options like mana / life on attack umos and life after each kill to keep you healthy. Let me know if you want more help :)

life on kill doesn't help with enemy bosses that take a long time to kill (and yes i'm talking melee). and life on attack doesn't help when one summon of towers kills you just for standing still for 1/2 a second. . . . . the issue is it requires max block to have survival which you don't have access to in the mid game. . . . melee sin just goes squish, and they don't have many ranged options. . . . . melee sorc for instance, can firedance + fussilade. claw sin on the other hand can't even broadside without a switch naginata, and even then it pales in comparison. they also have a fraction of the survival. . . doesn't matter if you avoid and block. if you take 32.5% of projectiles when 1 projectile is 1/3 of your hp and theirs 5-10+ per second. your only option is to blnk, smack him with one ability. run around and blink. and pray that your exit path isn't where he placed the towers (jitans case). . . . . sunless sea? enemey kill works if your damage is extremely high, but you get poked a little without a really fast kill speed and you go splat very easily. On average it takes me 3-5+ deaths (sometimes more than that depending on luck) just to clear sunless sea the first time, and that's fully upgrading TU and jewelcrafting lifesteal + % dex gems for the few runewords you have. . . late game they transition fine, early game (normal/nm) it's easy enough from lifesteal. but mid game it's a complete and utter nightmare to play as anything with a pair of eyes can look at em and kill em with poor luck. . . . jitan himself if he autos me when i walk up to auto him (or run from towers while queen of blades does some .01% of his hp per blade) and that happens to be one of the ffew that connects? there goes 1/2 or more of your health . . . and vampiric icon which is supposed to be a sustain tool is practically worthless.

Did think i entered Assassin suggest/feedback thread for 5 seconds. Love how ppl write a long lecture to prove that sin is fragile and need a larger hp pool.

Syphery please why your sin is so weak. She only has 23k hp not even 230k hp and just around 60 ish avoid...

Prismatic cloak reduce the damage from every instances.
It work wonderfully well against low damage, multi hit skills (so Assassin can face-tank many skills like that, flame strike for example).

Actually, I'm wondering why Amazon isn't lumped on in there with the Assassin, at least half her builds are just as clunky and worthless and for pretty much everyone there is literally no reason to not use Paragon(exactly like there is no reason not to use Beacon, but the OP already mentioned that as well, because Way of the Griffon looks like it's going to be buffed) as your Ultimate skill. I could mention Sorceress, but the OP already did that. Necro and Druid aren't talked about because they have only 1-2 trash builds(Malice Caster is SO bad and shares many of the same problems all Elemental Sorceresses have, same with non-Poison Caster Druid). I could argue Totem Necro is just as bad as Malice, but nobody plays that build, so who knows.
