And what exactly makes you think that character animation is perfectly synchronized between server and client? I have a proof that this stat is completely ignored if it's not assigned to a statlist with the proper state. This code is called on the server side and it's up to the server to decide whether animation should be interrupted or not. Needless to say that following damage is applied on the server side as well, client side is completely irrelevant.
TL;DR I've seen enough to make this conclusion and I would need a solid evidence to convince me otherwise.
