Very general beginner questions

I'm completely fresh. The only thing I have in the entire game is my Harkon's Gem in my shared stash. I want to run this build, but I'm not sure if it's up to date. I really want to know though: All these builds say something about beginning equipment. I look up on the docs and it says from anywhere, but is there a surefire way to get the equipment listed in builds? I will update with more questions if I need to ask more

The best way to get uniques is Tristram. Griswold will drop a box you can cube to get three random uniques from three specific categories. For druids, you'll get one druid specific helmet, one druid weapon and a pair of boots.

That said, the box isn't gonna help with your druid build lmao. Your best bet is to have a different class character that's your dummy character for using the Gift Box from Griswold on -- because the items change depending on the class of the transmuter. Check the docs for what class gives what from the box

Druid can get tu balanced axe from gift box, it is pretty good tu overall.

How do I get the equipment listed in the mini guide? Do I create multiple characters to get each piece?
