Races? Late season attractions idea

Title may be enigmatic, It's about season feeling long and people wanting new season already. I wanted to bring up one existing solution and ask your opinions.

So:
People that played poe should have heard about races. Races are mini seasons inside current season, usually run at the end. These do not really add any special content, just few difficulty changes to make game challenging, even not necessarily balanced. Like boost act bosses to ridiculous level, disable trading items, disable uniques etc. Just random stuff that would challenge player and not require much work to make.

What do you think about sth like this in median as solution for season feeling really long?
Just a mini 2 weeks long season after 5-6 months with bunch of super quick to implement changes, like: double duriel attack speed,give him pounce, replace baal with uber version at all difficulties, raise some numbers crazily, replace diablo with kabraxis, summon king koth with the ancients, remove all potions. Things that make finishing acts an actual challenge(and potentially target of a race), intentionally silly/unbalanced.

Had an idea for a novelty season/event like this:

If you exceed the minimum level requirement of a dungeon boss without killing them, then they'll begin randomly spawning on you out in the world and chasing you down.

I would like to see a destroyable totem in each act. Destroying the totem increases monster density over the entire act by x1.5, as well as monster attack rate, health, resists, and damage output. Soon as the totem is destroyed, a new one spawns that you can also destroy, max amount based on density and lag. These totems should always spawn when season is roughly 50% done to reinvigorate the remaining season.

New trophy challenges are cool. Add a totem to every uber act level that makes monsters 2x faster, several destroyable totems on stage that must be destroyed in X-minutes then main.boss killed once you have swirlies to add this special trophy bonus.

Anyway, some idea I had.

This is actually a pretty solid idea. End-of-season fatigue is real, and a short "chaotic race" mode could inject some life back into the game. Stuff like hyper-buffed act bosses or silly modifiers (no potions, random skill swaps, etc.) would be fun, especially if it’s framed as just-for-fun and not competitive. It could also attract players back temporarily without requiring a huge dev investment. Big +1 from me.
