need some AR to have a decent chance to hit him to apply OW (or some wdm skill that hits many times), that's why he's asking.

You actually need quite a reasonable amount of AR if you're going to have 85-95% cth. Respecing to dex stats is a usual thing for str-based builds/casters for that reason. Laz has avoid so if AR is low, chances that you'll apply OW with a successful hit will be quite low as well.

what is deadly strike? is it really deadly? even through immune to smth?

Deadly Strike is very deadly, even deadlier than you might think doubles your physical damage.
