Yo, tovarischi, where to get magic pen for making skill tomes ?

The magic quill for paladin books? Our npc is in Hellfire Abyss. The portal at River of Flame wp.

NM npc in hell fire abyss sells tome and black quill only. Npc in pandemonium fortress sells weps/armor only.
Recipe on empty tome says = tome + black quill + magic pen.

Oh? I use empty tome and black quill from hellfire npc + lvl1 skill tome of the skill i want(lvl2 tome for bloodlust) and it gives that skill at max lvl.

I think the confusion is the Black Quill is referred to as a Pen and Quill, but its just the one item.

I might need to look at respeccing as i may not reach the amount of str i need for shield+armor

Reaching Baal throne room easily, but first and last wave bosses are LE. Recovered my body over 100 times, wasted 50k for merc everytime and still couldn't kill the last mob. It got like 10 percent hp left, but i died to invisible ligthing procs. Raged hard, but went to recover body again. Died more times, got mad and went to bed. So i will definately wait for patch before i try NM Baal again. I am already too strong for NM so it is just sad now.

No idea about the patch. Last time he said "next day" it took about a week

Agree, next week - two i'll spend for median. I hoped Trevor will change LE in couple days after release 3.0.3 but his "soon" sometimes takes months and i got very annoyed with hundreds deaths pretty fast.

Yes, obviously next week(s) is dedicated for median. But overall i got this good experience and learned a lot of stuff about AM. Got familiar with crafting, tempering, socketing, making skill tomes, found nice areas to farm, working build and overall idea how this mod should be played. Only thing i am curious about destruction difficulty drops and geting those unique big charms.
