Sorry for taking 12 hours to respond, things like "responsibility" and "work" got in the way. I once saw 10k defense quoted for Tran Athulua, and it's worked wonders on every character I've tried it with. It can be reached easily enough with a little gold and a set of honorific plate (greaves, gauntlets, plated belt, ancient armor, avenger guard/crown). Once you have enough defense that the amazons only have a 5% chance to hit you, Arrowside/whatever-skill-they-use-that's-an-arrowhose isn't nearly as lethal, and you can actually get away from it as long as you don't get stun/blocklocked. For the LC1 challenge, honorific plate and %Enhanced Defense Mystic Orbs are your best friend

What set in particular should I be looking to stash away?

I've stored so many set pieces that I've filled my main and mule account with items, zero space left. Hording them, not knowing entirely what is what or demanded. Thanks

10k def (~15% in TA iirc) on a barb is still pretty squishy if stormblast/iceburst barb due to lack of leech. Make sure you follow your wolves because defense drop = dead and try to pull as little zons as possible and drink a pot before every pack. Start with thunder slam and don't use lion stance.

The cheesiest and easiest way to complete LC1 is to make honorific PDR armor and nullify damage completely.

The only two that're actually difficult to complete are the Marco Tribute Set (character names and such, I assume), and the fire spelldamage community set. I've killed (quite literally, mind you) hundreds of thousands of enemies in Fauztinville and Duncraig and never seen the Marco belt or greaves. Whatever makes them rare makes them painfully uncommon indeed. The Marco set in particular is designed so that any class can make use of it, and any class can smash things with rainbow damage. It may take a Herculean effort, but just about anything in MXL can be completed with Marco's set, that's what you want if you habe to accept a single set (but it's stupidly rare, I've found *HUNDREDS* of plated belts and greaves and gauntlets in the process, and hundreds of useless items.

Invictus shield can reach 7k defense by itself at tier 5 which is usable at lvl 49. Then you add 4k defense tier 5 steel golem armor, tier 6 lionpaws ...

Or hire act 3 fire caster merc and play with one hand.

Sure if you want to run hatred mephisto 32 times to get 1h barb gear on a 2hander, you could.

Well you can get TU2 gilded from griswold. Upgrading will require 3 crystals.
Armor and boots will require 4 crystals, if you gamble/find TU5 base items.
Thus 7 arcane crystals - 35 shards. 2 shards from Andy and Duri, 33 from Mephisto, which is 16 runs. I round it down, because you probably find one random unique during those runs. Although with current rates, you can never be too sure.

Question about Xis-RW. If i using in rw ONE suicide note jewel +xis, total req. level 121 or....?

Suicide Note adds 10 to required level. 121+10=131
