You can roll good weapon, rings, amulets with gg stats in cube with oils or with dragons. While using clicker it's easy and fast and requires skill in setuping clicker only rather than game play and knowledge. Plus it greatly reduces item worth considering drops. You found random base, upgrade/downgrade, reroll in cube.... Where is effort and fun in that ? Suggestions towards it:
1. Old school style, no rerolling, you get what monsters drop. Deal with it.
2. Oils replaced with craft materials that only specific area/mob/boss drop. Materials are once per use and you only change quality of item (white into blue, into golden), no item rerolling.
3. Current rerolls but with downside like each roll decreases number of sockets or ilvl or stats or something like that.
Don't get me wrong, i like to have nice items with good stats on them. But geting items in cube in town is worse than going outside and smashing something.
Well, for rings and amu you can gamble them. And that's probably the most efficient way of getting a good rare in that case. Where's the fun in that? If you need an oskill on a rare you can gamble that item over and over as tiered item and hope for it to be rare. Is gambling better than rerolling? Or should gambling be removed as well? Or should items be really expensive to gamble? How to deal with that? Is farming for specific rare items a lot of fun? Just asking hypothetically, I think the reroll feature is good.
