I have a couple of probably simple/stupid questions :oops:

I hit level 120 yesterday, just did my first clear of Fauzt. :D
I tried changing the runes in my Jitans Kamon, from Ith to Jah. The problem is, this sets the level requirement to 135 (from 119). I assume using this rune adds 16 levels of req? Sadly this isnt mentioned anywhere and I already orbed my chest armor :( should I craft another one? Where can I see what level requirement does a rune add to an item?

Im sitting at 102k defense, still havent crafted the Niphilim boots. No sacred ones have dropped so far and im considering doing it in a T6. I have a general question about orbing though:

- Shall I try to hit the FHR cap? Im at 147% right now and I think I can reach it if with a few orb slots left on my gear;
- You always refer to elemental pierce, I assume this is reduce (-) cold/lightning/fire enemy resistance? Without the poison one as its the weakest element. Or is it any good for SoD?
- Should I try pushing Destruction (im at the beginning of Act II) or should I try to finish my early game gear and get a piece or two from the mid game? This involves farming Fauzt/Toraja

Your level req is high because you have put MO's to hit lvl 119 and after that you tried to put a Jah rune which req lvl (65) is higher that base req lvl (49) of Jitan's Kamon. Yes, you should make another Jitan's Kamon, put desired runes first and then MO your armor. You can surely add some MO's first and then put runes but you have to calculate everything right to hit 119/120 lvl in the end. Level reqs can be seen in documentaion (see 'Items -> Unique -> Tiered -> T6 armor' and 'Items -> Gems and Runes'.

Ah, I see! I didnt realize the T6 Jitan has lower requirement than the rune. Damn, this changes things a little. I may try crafting a better basie item that needs less enhanced defense to hit the cap or get rid of the elem pierce (5% for each element), I really need these Jah runes to up my def (102k is simply not enough and this is with a +8 All skills staff for prebuff).

Elemental pierce refers to - enemy fire/cold/lightning/poison res. Poison is important too, because it enables SoD to one shot any non-poison immune enemy in the game.

Hitting 200 fhr in the early game gear is a good idea, thats the "core" itemisation advantage of this build. We make great use of Euphoria, which allows us to focus mostly on defensive orbs on our gear to reach high defense / cap FHR easily etc.

Destruction can be full cleared with the early game gear and so can most of the Ubers in the game as well. I would suggest fixing your Jitan's situation, making the Nephilim in a pair of tier 6 greaves (check out the appendix if unsure how to optimise defense on a runeword) and then you will be ok to progress. You should come back to terror Fauzt however (now that you have DR% cap from blessed life it will be a cakewalk) to craft a decent bow, before you start doing harder stuff.

Does anybody else have difficulty doing the physical seal in the kabraxis uber?
All the others are easy enough, but the physical seal keeps 100% uptime on his broadside spell and it annihilates me within seconds of going near it, locking me in hit recovery so I dont even have a chance to stack tantrums on him
I've tried using wyrd, hail of stones, squall gust and cyclone to take him down from afar, but they dont seem to do enough damage, and he just regenerates hit points faster than I can drop them

It is possible to do with tantrum, but you need to be super fast running in and out. I crafted an arrow swarm bow and tried to maximize damage on it by gettin ED/minmax/CB. Takes a while, but is much safer than tantruming.

Hello.

Forgive my ignorance, I've only played D2 a little and am just starting Median XL.

I'm following the guide. My paladin is level 29 now and I just crafted a short war bow with the Amok runeword. I did a stat and skill reset and used +2 dexterity orbs on other equipment to get the 87 required for the bow. I can equip it, but it is colored red as though I don't meet the requirements, and I am unable to cast Tantrum.

I'm sure it's something simple but I can't figure it out.

Edit: It was something simple. You need a quiver, even though Tantrum doesn't use arrows.
