Messing around with Cold Wolf before season starts and wanted to try my hand at crafting a crystal sword. So many potential modifiers makes this very difficult.

200 abandoned shrines later and here's my 2 best swords:

Life Spark + Life on Melee Hit were the bare minimum affixes to keep. I RARELY saw those two together.

Missing out on things like cold pierce, +life, etc. Still not sure if any of these beat a blessed honorific crystal sword since you can add lifesteal to it and gain cold pierce through Feed the Pack

is there an update to this build for 2.10?

Ive also heard that for a crystal sword (i finally got a cold blood) you need the 120% IAS on the weapon, because it only counts there, is this true? :D
also does this count as a Elemental Weapon? Because the Lucky Upgrade only gives IAS on elemental Weapons i wanna know before i try :D

do not bother with cold spell damage. it's not worth MO space and never was.

max harbinger for leveling and farming, most of your damage will come from the flat bonus on the skill. mana cost is irrelevant because of mana pulse. against large bosses it's ok single target, too, but not great.

twisted claw rework *should* make it much more reliable, but you probably have to respec to max it for bossing. unfortunately there's not enough skill points to go around to get both harb and TC maxed at the same time while also having everything else you want.

and a full gear swap to scale mana fixes the skill point problem by having enough raw damage that 1pt in the damage skills is fine. you may have heard it's a UMO heavy build, but it can do scosglen reasonably well without them

no, that was changed years ago

yes, crystal sword has innate elemental damage

Go to the multiplayer ladder, sort by Class: Druid, type "wolf" in the search bar at the top right, then click on the word "werewolf" in the build column. It pulls up that person's skills and gear.

* though i would like to point out - the spell damage from a Shamanka or MotW-boosting swap is not worth the time casting it, because you have no spell procs that actually use it, it does nothing for Harbinger, and direct melee hits are at most 6-7% of your total Twisted Claw damage.

ok thanks! What would you recommend using MOs than, if not cold spell dmg? on weapon i have life on melee attack, but i dont know what MOs i should use otherwise (resis are already full, and i have the IAS and FHR cap)

ring/ammy: life is extremely good, defense is OK, phys damage reduced is meh but it's better than nothing
armor: regen is great, dex, str if it saves you base points (keep in mind str bug, don't put +str on your highest requirement gear)
weapon: life on attack, IED
all slots: magic find
