Diablo II v.1.14 update?

Will there ever be an update for version 1.14? I bought D2 just to play Median XL and would like to know if there will ever be an update for v.1.14.

That's because blizzard kindly fucked up all 3rd party programs by changing the format of .MPQ files.

Median =/= D2SE (which by the way, is discontinued)

You just put the patch_d2.mpq file into your Diablo II installation folder, that's it.

So D2SE is not needed? And plugY won't even work. All I do is copy and paste it in Diablo II folder?

no, d2se was never needed, some people just used it because it was convenient for them
plugy doesn't work with 1.14 afaik, nor does d2se

yes, you just copy the patch_d2.mpq to your d2 folder. you might want to backup the old one by renaming it to eg. patch_d2_old.mpq

Thank you. I'm still a bit nervous I don't want to mess anything up. So could you point me to an guide? All the guides I've found involve D2SE and what not.
