I don't see why interaction with objects should have anything to do with your skill. Click on object = walk to and interact with it. I can't think of anything that would modify that behaviour so if that code does need to be a part of every skill, it can likely be the exact same code on every skill. There's no skill that can open doors from afar or detonate barrels or anything like that.

Have you tried using shift to stand still? The way I play most classes is with main attack on left, hold LMB to move and hold/tap shift when you want to stand still and attack. Unless you are clicking on a monster, the attack will only happen when shift and LMB are pressed at the same time. I find it makes for really fluid movement.

Go to blood moor and kill some skellies the parrots are really small and they just fly, they don't do anything.
