Deadly strike question

From what i read DS is a x 2 dmg roll.

But some people saying its capped at 63% but on the d2 website it saying basically you can get 100% but after that its pointless.

Can anyone clear up the where the cap is. And if it is 100% i presume that means its double dmg all the time?

There is no cap, but over 100% does nothing.

DS because CB doesn't work on bosses in median xl.
