Throw Barb 2017?

I started as common melee with unique axe that gives frost nova proc. Started to strugle at the end of terror. Switched to throw barb since rare throw axe droped and i had a dex shrine. No useful procs besides deadfall belt - still way better than melee.

Melee gets good with the right gear later

Any tips how do you get melee to clear at comparable speeds as thrower?

if you mean -res from MOs , pierce MOs dont exist anymore.

Well, I was hoping for some proc combo, like ssu ono or something.
If you take even 10 stormblasts on attack to hatred cows, duncraig or fauztinville, it is still slow compared to thrower, lots of attack swings, poor aoe.
Issue here isn't lack of damage, but the aoe.

There is no other barb build wich comes even close to the ks, aoe and safety of throwbarb atm. I watched him abit in action and it was insane. Especially early with no gear and charms this build can farm pretty decent, looking forward for video of highend thrower with some nice items and full charms

I'm not particularly concerned with efficiency. I just like the playstyle of a throwbarb. My first char on this mod was a bowzon, while i enjoyed it's playstyle i hated the getting killed due to a fart. Throwbarb seems like a good compromise between damage and defense.

its above average in my taste. it being eth and a thrower weapon just means free bonus damage with no disadvantage.
id rather craft a weapon with shower of rocks and +damage through creepy shrines but shrines are something that take time to acquire as does hitting the right stats for the weapon itself. in areas like duncraig though, eth griefbringes shines much more cause %damage undead

thoughts on kraken stance. its best imo, frees up ~30 skill points

It does not? Kraken scales of points put into other stances, so you need to max ATLEAST one to do any damage with kraken.
