MXL compatability question

Hey y'all. I've got a simple question. I used to play mxl quite a bit a few years back, and I'm pretty confident my chars will have expired. I've since moved on to D2 Resurrected. Hoping to get back into MXL as well. Can I have an installation of MXL and D2R simultaneously? Thanks

should be easy, keep in mind that MXL is a mod for classic D2lod, nor D2R, thats 2 separate games
