When you say "most powerful", what do you mean?


"Most powerful" as in "best necro build with BiS items"?


Of do you mean "most powerful" as in "fastest build to progress to level 125"? Because I disagree wholeheartedly with it not only being "most powerful", but powerful in general.


I respec'd from melee to xbow at 105. I used the meta TU items MO'd with the necessary MO's, and all the appropriate skills at appropriate skill levels.







It sucked balls. It sucked hot balls.



Talons Hold as far as I can tell doesn't work as intended. I had enough skill points in it for 10% chance to reanimate (which is a high chance in the Sigma era), and RARELY ever saw any reanimates. With full meta T4 TU items, skills, blah blah blah.... killspeed in IOTSS felt underwhelming, and when trying to run cows it IMMEDIATELY gets swarmed. With yet again a prepostorously low-feeling reanimate chance. With 95% chance to hit and over 20% mana leech, mana sustain still feels like too much of a problem.



Even trying to progress past act 3 hell felt like a slow slogging grind.

No need to play it without GT and fortress. But with these 2 skills, this is prbly 1 of the best late game builds left in 2.9.

It is rough to level up as xbow yea. Most of the bossing with xbow even with great gear is very much skill based. It isnt a braindead build. You can see what the top xbow necros are using on the ladder currently on notarmory
