it's an already removed mechanic.
The way it used to work was, an aura that gives rand(0, 400) each resists and the random value would update every second.
If a heroic boss had 75% base res (some had higher), that meant that you had 1/16 chance they would roll 0-24% res, which would mean they wouldn't reach the 100% res immunity mark, and instead, be pierce-able with -%enemy res, and thus killable.
the problems were:
- very random, you pretty much just had to keep spamming attacks and wait for luck
- required f/c/l damage because they are pierce elements (mag/phys don't, and heroics were usually psn immune)
-- for ex, monster would roll 24% fire res and leave them at 99%, you could use 199% fire pierce and bring them down to -100
-- with phys magic that wouldnt be a possibility, meaning you'd be dealing neglible dmg to a 99% res boss
