If you MO ED on an IED base you will notice that you get +1 max damage. All superior IED base have that +1 max damage, too.

The question now is: What does this stat do if it does anything at all:
- if you have a non superior IED base: It works as a global multiplier to all flat phys sources on thw weapon and the rest of the gear/charms
- if you have a superior IED base: It only works as global multiplier to all min phys damage sources
Keep in mind that you loose all the phys damage from an actual phys weapon base and the EWD from stat scaling
How is it possible to actually get damage with this mechanic?
find runewords with big ED and on top of that big flat phys damage that can put into an IED base.
To really make up for the stat EWD and weapon base damage you need big EWD and flat phys on other gear sources and EWD from skills on your tree.

What needs to be calculated? Why does flat damage have to be balanced against ewd? Won't they both just scale the damage?
