That item tag for the needler is outdated. It's currently something like 10% arrow on striking and 20% arrow (lower lvl proc) on striking.

Why not just use dear esther in that case..? slow target, CB, high proc chance. Use with bag of tricks or hanabigami.

Dear esther is good but it have to have a decent roll to be effective. And BoG is one of the most hard to find items in game so yeah, super late game option imo. And that shaad rw, yeah this is also an option but getting shaad is annoying to find, not hard but annoying

in fact, I have spent about 400 shrines in the bow, and all to no avail, and then decided to try a crossbow.
have not yet decided who will be using the crossbow.
