It works under arch linux with wine 5.0 and newer. I've checked both stable and staging editions. Could you please specify your linux distribution and it's version? Do you use wine from your distributor's repository?

If d2stats doesn't run you can try this loader. It helps sometimes.

Lower case cannot be the problem. Windows API is case insensitive. And Wine correctly implements this feature. CreateProcess() is looking for "game.exe" in current working directory. In Windows it is usually set to the directory containing exe file. I suspect that in your case it is weirdl...

This error message means that CreateProcess system call failed. I have updated the loader to display error codes. If you still have issues then download new version and test.
