I find a Raging Tempest. Keep Crystal Sword or change?

I can upgrade a rare amulet?
The game crash when i upgrade some rares amulets, crash only on sucess.
I rerolled an rare amy with +3 to all skills and upgraded to +5 and the game crashed too.
Its a bug or just bad luck?
