I think balancing the game to be more fair for each class is a better thing.
Obviously there will always be certain characters/specs that are better at things than others, but any step towards making them all equal sounds good to me!

Just for those curious - as far as I understand you can calculate drain life like this: (#/256)*25 = -HP/sec. So for "Drain Life -250" --> (250/256)*25 = 24.41.
