So I got the 1.13 version running as shown above.
But as soon as I hit the Create game button, it continue to load for a few seconds and the error appeared.

I also tried using 3dfx like this guy recommended by adding the parameter -3dfx in the properties of the D2 shortcut but it still the same error. Damn!
