DOOM

im so excited about doom as well. i played through doom2 and doom1 a few weeks ago on ultra-violence. i really hope the new doom is more like d1/2 and not a survival horror like d3 was

It's just Beta. And it's only MP version... I saw single player trailer some time ago, and that's really reminds me of good old DooM massacre.

but they're going for the mp, not the sp, that's the point. if the mp is mediocre, then they've failed

we'll have to wait for the full version to see if they fix anything tho.

The marketing gods have struck again. *sigh* The MP wasn't too bad, but it felt incredibly limiting, and slower. I don't get how people say the game is made for consoles, it's not THAT slow.. Plus, the game releases next month. Not a whole lotta time to fix stuff unless they delay dev time.

well, I'm sure they're still gonna get a buch of money for it, but not nearly as much as with a proper mp, since it will lack longevity and popularity among the esports people.

Sorry. This crap just isnt Doom anymore. Its console oriented COD and UT/Quake (the latter for the MP part) mashed up together, with demons. Double jumping? Srsly.

Having the Doom brand linked to this shit is an insult and definitely not a throwback to old shooters like Bethesda promised years ago. In fact the only stuff this has to do with Doom is the logo , health that doesnt regenerate and the whole hellish theme.
