q2dm1 and my nick was Bolik, sometimes Liolik. And i was really good at it.

As a fetish i install Dungeon Keeeper 2 once or twice every year.

Yeah and no jumps on lamps either. We had computer classes at university and each class room was playing CS or Quake 2 all the time.

Have never been able to perform this trick. Though I was good at counting the time to pick up MH/Quad/Red armor right after they spawn. Ah, good old times...

You can practise in empty game as much as you like. But trick is pressing forward then left step and do some half circle move with mouse. Imagine the round clock and your mouse moves from 6 to 12 clock wise. Since you stand on top of that second cubic its really fast button combo. You can try this on even ground while moving - gives speed boost too. Called straifing or something like that.

Like I don't know what straifing is :twisted:

Without strafing you're pretty much dead meat in Quake series even with full hp and armor.

I used to perform 180 deg jumps quite often when the distance to a desired area was much far for a normal jump but not from a small crate to a bigger crate.

I just got all serious sam games, except serious sam 2 since that game was more for mindless shooting....

One of the best games I have ever played, with return to castle wolfenstein, mafia 1 and 2, max payne 1 and 2, didn't play 3rd part.

Try the Parse Error 2.0 -mod too, it's mindless shooting but in a fun way.
