What the Blankety Blank happened with my DirectX?

So I decided to reinstall this drug of ours.

Now, unless I run it in windowed mode, I get that damnable error 22. I have never had this problem before. I have not changed anything since I uninstalled. WTF.

So I tried reinstalling again. Vid test is not detecting any compatible video modes. Says no DirectDraw or Direct3D is to be found. Yes I have checked all the compatibility crap on both D2SE and Game.exe.

WTF. Come on nephews, help your uncle out here. To quote my cousin, Quickdraw Pete, "I swear, this has never happened before."

Have you tried glide?

Also why would you want to play in fullscreen (in the first place), especially if it works in windowed?

what are you running?
in w7/8 this shouldn't happen as it would get video drivers/directx on it's own.
unless maybe if you had some obscure graphics card, but even then it should provide a generic driver...

Never mind. Figured it out. Was having a senior moment. I got so used to having my monitor in portrait mode that I didn't notice. So just sose everyone knows, VidTest doesn't know how to deal with portrait mode and full screen.

@cowking. Can't get glide to work at all on this laptop and I like fullscreen.
