Most under/overrated items

I'll start.

Overrated - Knight's Grace

- low proc
- low damage
- massive str req
+ 5% dr is nice

I'm sure if marco used magic powers to replace these with Ath rw or 2% dr boots on someone during a fauzt run, they wouldn't even notice.

Underrated - Mal rw belt

+(101 to 150)% Enhanced Defense
Fire Resist +(31 to 50)%

Immolation bomb procs on the attacker, meaning all 32 bolts will hit a stationary target.

This belt on unrezzed A5 merc with +400% fire spell damage and -100 res = goodbye necrobots. Also a hilarious way to kill BPR.

A: It is a bug, but it is a D2 bug. Merc passives are lost on death for the duration of the current game. Unfixable. (Answer by Brother Laz)

For version 1.95 Release and after, mercs no longer have passives. The Hireling page on the ModsbyLaz homepage gives their skillsets.)

I'm pretty sure they still have those passives (or maybe this is referring to heroic strength?), since A5 merc moves like a space rocket if he's unrezzed.

He can also tank the barrage of half a dozen dfauzt necrobots without his life bar moving down = proc-proc-proc.

As a person who prioritizes the items that look cool over the ones that are actually useful, Knight's Grace looks cool (And also most builds that might run it hit at least 25x /second Ex. Tantrumdin, xbow necro, maybe a barb that focuses on thunderslam rather than fortress)

But anyway, on to my list of items I think are underrated

Bucking Bertha

-good bonuses to physical/fire damage, which is your focus as xbow necro
-proc is pretty
-slow target and CB

How I know that item is underrated? Because some people don't use it or what?

When most people sig' an item, while it can be successfully used in a few/several builds.

Imho my vote goes for tu6 hard leather armor.

That 10% arrow when you take dmg is so nice against all purify bosses that teleport on you or dmg you to keep ow active ( arrow range = huge and its aimed !)

Overrated:
Hellrain Ama Javelin - Low proc rate and delay before they show up

Underrated:
Cranium Bore Ama spear - Not strongest weapon but 1000 laek is ridiculously good
Lo 'void' rw in 2hander on wolf dru - 1000 average damage, you have 100cb, max ias, epic slow, no mana problems... this gets the job done with no procs slowing everything down, more damage is overkill
Pixie Legion throwing balanced knife - With synergy this procs multiple knives on kill, which is cool. Not best weapon, but overlooked imo
Athulua's Oracle Amu: 250% ar just from amu & 2 * 15 MO slots
