So after watching a D1 stream, I realized that not all the Diablo 1 shrines are integrated.

http://diablo.gamepedia.com/Shrines_(Diablo_I)

I'm just bored in the middle of night before bed just randomly thinking of fun little things, similar to Stealthmaster's item thread.

Cryptic Shrine

Arcane power brings destruction.

Effect: Has a chance of spawning a very low skill level of an oskill that may appear on an item, allowing for much less time spent trying to grab that tantrum bow for example if that is all you want. Also grants mana. As a caviat however, it will probably be better to use an element shrine if you want the best output of damage. This is more of a shrine that attempts to give you immediate access to an oskill, if you don't mind the initial low damage.

Divine Shrine

Drink and be refreshed.

Effect: Life and Mana on Striking in melee, and when struck. Very rarely possible to get on striking.

Eldritch Shrine

Crimson and Azure become as the sun.

Effect: Life and mana leech on weapons, life on kill on everything else.

Holy Shrine

Wherever you go, there you are.

Effect: Various teleport procs, and a chance of blink oskill. Imagine Divine Apparition on kill

Religious Shrine

Time cannot diminish the power of steel.

Effect: A chance of making an item indestructible.

Mysterious Shrine

Some are weakened as one grows strong.

Effect: A chance to add a bonus to one stat, while sapping from another. Imagine all the stat shrines combined in one basically.

Secluded Shrine

The way is made clear when viewed from above

Effect: Enables maphack when equipped  - Increased movement speed, and other speeds.

Spooky Shrine

Where avarice falls, patience gains it's own reward

Effect: Various low skill level healing spells spawn as procs or oskills.

Thaumaturgic Shrine

What was once closed is now open.

Effect: Edits the item level of the select item anywhere between 1-99. A health bonus equal to the item level will spawn on the item. In theory you would have to do this just once, and any other shrine usage will keep the item level if my memory serves.

Murphy's Shrine

That which can break, will.

Effect: Turns your item into either nothing, an apple, or a random shrine!
