Did you really have to go full retard in this thread? Posting nonsense here just means that the developer(s) are less likely to ask the community's opinion on game features in the future.

And no, "I like it cus we get more new stuff" is not a valid opinion. Of course you will. Don't just blindly support anything that adds more rides to the amusement park just for the sake of quantity.


Anyway on topic. I personally don't like the idea because

1) It would make those items irreplaceable for the build they are creating. Even gear restricted build like melee sorc also have crafted and runeword options in the weapon slot.
2) If the added skill tree is unique and powerful it would be better to think how to integrate it into the base game. Why restrict awesome content to a single item?
3) I feel like we are at a point of critical mass of character skills & oskills (after XV). It seems like it would be better to improve/balance existing skills/oskills first before adding in additional batches of 5+.

I wanted to give my opinion on the matter, but couldn't quite put in in words.
suchbalance as always speaks my mind.
1) basically my first thought. A build that only exists because of one item is unhealthy for build viability and diversity. It also connects to...
2) if a whole skill tree was only available only by a one item then testing and playing with is would be limited.

There are some builds which exist only because of a single SU, but those are single oskills, a full tree feels overkill.

Points above are untrue however, if the item is widely available (like ort runeword in druid helm, which already does something similar).
